The June Degustabox was packed with an interesting assortment of items. In my opinion, this was one of the most practical more cooking-centered Degustaboxes I’ve received to date (many items I would have likely purchased anyways, such as the black beans and tortillas). This is handy because it helps me save money when I’m grocery shopping, but also a little disappointing as there was only one food in the box that I hadn’t tried before (the watermelon ‘tickle water’).
First item: GOYA Seasoning. This delicious garlic powder did leak a little into the box (they should put a seal on the top of the bottle), but on the bright side the box smelled delicious when I opened it! I think this would be perfect with avocado toast!
Next up: True lemon crystalized lemon. Perfect for adding to a water bottle to make your water taste just a little bit fancier. Also pairs nicely with tea. 32 packets!
More tortilla shells! There was another large pack of tortillas that were very similar included in a Degustabox from a few months ago. I had just finished off that pack so this new installation of tortillas was perfectly timed!
The box also included Mutti peeled tomatoes. I am unsure as to what to use these for, but I’m sure I’ll come across a Pinterest recipe soon enough. (Plug: have you followed Happily Unboxing on Pinterest yet? We just joined!)
Another practical item: GOYA black beans! Straight into the grocery rotation. This is the third GOYA product included in this box, and there have been a few in past boxes as well!
There was also a big bag of these cinnamon sugar tortilla chips! I love that they are organic and the packaging is top-notch. They taste similar to a churro converted into a chip, and would be the perfect dessert for a Mexican buffet.
There was also a zesty ‘That’s It’ fruit bar. I actually have a box of these in my house already, but definitely prefer the apple strawberry or apple banana versions that are not zesty (they’re a bit too tangy for me).
There was also the adorable tickle water. I can not get over this packaging!! The little owl and the fonts are just gorgeous. I do wish that it was in some way recyclable (it seems as though it’s not), but the everything else about this package just makes me swoon.
I was so excited to see another returning brand in this box: Walkers! A few months ago Degustabox included the yummiest dog-shaped cookies in their box from this same brand. I am so excited to much on these vanilla shortbread cookies!
Last but not least: These Zolli Pops. These lolipops are advertised as being great for your teeth in terms of dental hygine. It also came with a coupon that is supposed to be redeemable at Walmart, but I had some trouble finding them there. I’ll try Whole Foods next.
And that’s a wrap!
Overall this wasn’t one of my favorite boxes, but it did contain some useful items that will be put into the grocery rotation right away. I would have liked to be able to discover more new products that I haven’t seen before, which has absolutely been a highlight of some of the past Degustaboxes. I’ll never forget discovering pasta chips through Degustabox nearly a year ago!
