How delicious do these macarons look?! Though it may look like I took a trip to Paris to pick these up myself, they were actually delivered straight to my door! They are available from Pastreez, an online Macarons Store based in California since 2017. They were handcrafted by French Chefs from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, and taste just as incredible as they look. The macarons are made with fresh ingredients from local farmers, and are gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free! I had the pleasure of reviewing their 7 macaron package, but the size can be customized with options ranging from 4 macarons ($7.50) to 48 macarons ($65)! Their sizing options are outlined below.
The flavors that I tasted were as follows: raspberry (red), cherry (dark pink), passion fruit (tan), guava (blush pink), apricot (yellow), strawberry (light pink), and chocolate raspberry (red valentine’s heart shape).
Though they were all absolutely delicious, my favorites were the raspberry and chocolate raspberry. The chocolate raspberry was even shaped like a heart, which would be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift! These macarons are unique because the center is filled with a delicious jam, unlike the traditional cream/butter you would expect in a standard bakery macaron. Another bonus: each macaron is less than 50 calories each!
